How to recommend someone for a date through 100 dates

Welcome! We’ll assume, since you’re here, that you’ve read about 100 dates, and have a friend you’d like to put forward to be set up on a date. Great!

But I want to recommend someone to do 100 Dates!

So you have a friend who you think would make a great 100 Dates contender, and you’d like us to send them on 10 Dates? Well, that takes a little more time & effort.

Right now we actually have a backlog of recommendations, so we’re not taking any new recommendations just at the moment, sorry! We have picked out the next two 100 Dates contenders, but we will be looking for more in a couple of months. When we need more recommendations, we’ll announce it through this blog (so subscribe!) and Twitter (so follow us! @100dates)

My friend was already recommended! How can I help him/her get chosen for 100 Dates?

Aha – you’ve hit the secret jackpot. So far, we’ve chosen nominees who had lots of friends nominate them. We’re not accepting new nominations right now, but if you have a friend who was already nominated (or if you were nominated yourself!) we strongly encourage you to round up a few supporting nominations from your other friends.

We suggest you send a link to this post to the friends you’d like to write a supporting nomination. It makes it a lot more likely that someone will get chosen for 100 Dates if we have lots of great recommendations for them, and we know they have a group of friends who’ll be helping spread the word to help finds dates for them.
